Our Story

Excel Steel (formerly known as Worldwide Welding and Fabrication LLC) was established in November of 2018 by Jeffrey Tracey. Jeff previously worked for the original owner of the company under a different name for almost six years and eventually bought it out when the original owner wanted to retire. Even before the buyout, the company built its reputation on quality, timeliness, and honesty. So naturally, Jeff wanted to not only retain, but improve the company reputation even further. With almost 12 years of welding and fabrication experience and two years of Mechanical Engineering Technology study, Jeff took everything he learned throughout his years in the trade and applied it to his business.

Excel Steel was built to be a small job shop that specializes in miscellaneous metals, structural steel, industrial repair, and general fabrication. Excel Steel strives to produce a quality product that’s on time and on budget while readily communicating to the customer any changes, unforeseen issues and install/delivery schedules.

We can install and/or deliver any of our projects upon customer request. We work closely with all of our surrounding vendors to keep lead times to a minimum and allow us to solve almost any problem a customer may have. Whether your project is large or small, we can tackle it all!

We stock tons of carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless materials at all times to keep our lead times down. We can shear, punch, form, roll, saw cut, plasma cut, drill/tap, machine, weld, and fabricate anything to your specifications.
